"Lahat may LAST.And now we're down with our last leadership training... Sobrang namiss ko sumigaw sa cheers and yells na parang mas malakas pa ang boses ko sa mic, yung pag encourage sa mga tao na maging sobrang energetic na wala na sa lugar, yung kahit na ikaw lang ang nag susuport sa mga ka avatar mo sa amazing rest ikaw pa yung mas natataranta, yung sa pageant halos lahat na ng gamit sa bag mo eh ibigay mo... Sobrang na miss ko maging Facilitator. Pero kahit na wala man akong avatar ngayong LT. masasabi kong ito ang pinaka naging the BEST LT ko. Salamat sa mga taong naging parte ng Huling Leadership Training ko, ang mga participants, mga Facilitators, Food Com., SSG at kay Ma'am Patacsil :)))"

About RSHS 'IX

Regional Science High School for Region IX (RSHS),is a Magnet school of Department of Education (Philippines), established during the school year 1994-1995 by virtue of DECS Order No. 69,s.1993. The school has a curriculum that specialize in science and research (different from Special Science Program/ Engineering and Science Education Program schools).The Regional Science High School For Region IX was founded on Nov. 1994. It started as a single level and single class high school temporarily squating within the ZCNHS Main Campus in Tetuan, Zambo. City. It moved to its permanent school site in Malasiga, on a rice field, in 1994 and has since grown from a single classroom within a city school to a complete high school of more than 200 students.RSHS IX has consistently produced excellent students and graduates since its inception, and continues to grow and nurture the city's best and brightest students.

SSG '11-'12 won with best practices award!

RSHS-9 bags best student government best practices award


Congratulations to the student leaders of the Supreme Student Government of the Regional Science High School(RSHS)-IX who were declared champion of the video competition titled “Art Eskwela: National Search for SSG’s Best Practices”. It bagged more than 6,000 likes on the social network Facebook which they never expected. The awarding was held at Baguio City during the Department of Education (DepED) National Leadership Training for SSG Officers last November 4-8, 2011.

The students were accompanied by their supportive adviser, Florita Myrna P. Patacsil, whom they credit for their success.  Aside from the certificate of recognition, they received a cash prize of Php 15 000 and a brand new cellphone for their adviser. DepEd Executive Director Joey G. Pelaez of The Center for Students and Co-Curricular Affairs personally handed them their awards.

RSHS is a specialized system of public secondary schools in the Philippines and is operated and
supervised by the Department of Education in coordination with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). Its’ curriculum is heavily focused on math and science.

The RSHS System offers scholarships to Filipino students who are gifted in the sciences and mathematics.
Admission to the RSHS is by competitive examination only, and only Filipino citizens are eligible to attend.
Graduates of the RSHS are bound by law to major in the pure and applied sciences, mathematics, or engineering  upon entering college.

In the past years since its creation, RSHS has developed a worldwide reputation as one of the best high
schools in the Philippines, public or private. It attracts an intellectually gifted blend of culturally, ethnically, and economically diverse students.

Regional Science High School IX has been the sanctuary of Zamboanga City's finest and brightest young minds. It was founded in the year 1994. Formerly located at the Zamboanga City High School, Tetuan Campus, RSHS IX is now located at Brgy. San Roque, Zamboanga City. Since its establishment as an academic institution, RSHS IX has proven its edge among other high schools not only in the region but in the whole of the country as well.
