Regional Science High School IX has been the sanctuary of Zamboanga City's finest and brightest young minds. It was founded in the year 1994. Formerly located at the Zamboanga City High School, Tetuan Campus, RSHS IX is now located at Brgy. San Roque, Zamboanga City. Since its establishment as an academic institution, RSHS IX has proven its edge among other high schools not only in the region but in the whole of the country as well. Its students excelled in both academic and non-academic fields. RSHS IX has reaped local, national and even international recognition in the fields of science, mathematics, public speaking and sports. In less than a decade, RSHS IX has made its mark and still remains as one of the best schools in Region IX.
